A LASER FOR ALL AGES, AND ALL SKIN TYPES....
Q & A
Are you a candidate for UltraClear?
Unless you have significant comorbid conditions, you can qualify for UltraClear if you have uneven skin tone, sun damage, acne, scars, stretch marks, skin laxity, melasma, rhinophyma.
Does it hurt?
Being a cold fiber laser at 2910nm operating at peak water absorption, only 5% of energy will be given off to the surrounding skin in term of thermal disturbance. Less heat equals to less pain. In comparison to a CO2 and a Fraxel laser, 60% and 100%, respectively, are experienced as thermal energy damage. With numbing, patients report 1-3 out of 10 on the pain scale for most UltraClear settings.
Downtime?
The 3DMIRACL is the lightest setting of the Clear mode at 10um. At this setting, numbing is not required and the treatment can be considered a lunch time peel with mild redness for 2 days. At higher settings, numbing will be required and the downtime would be about 3-4 days of redness and bronzing as the ablated tissue heals. By the fifth day, skin shedding will occur and most patients already have better complexion by the end of the week.
How far apart are treatment sessions?
For a quick glow and removal of mild skin pigmentation, 3DMIRACL can be done every 6-8 weeks for a recommended 3-5 treatment series. Melasma patients are best treated in this mode.
For deeper settings of Clear, Clear+, and Ultra, we recommend 2-3 months spacing between the sessions.
For major Laser Coring work, we recommend twice a year, then reassess.
How long do results last?
While results lasting depend on several variables including ethnicity, lifestyle habits, and adherence to routine skincare maintenance, deeper UltraClear treatments can last 3-5 years. Milder treatments in the Clear mode may require maintenance every 6-12 months. Having a good medical grade skin care regimen, using sunscreen, eating fresh foods, giving up smoking, and limiting alcohol are ways to extend your results and slow down skin aging process.
Final thoughts
UltraClear is a revolutionary laser that can address multiple skin problems in one treatment. It is safe for all ages and skin types. Undoubtedly, we think it surpasses C02 and other fractionated ablative lasers in terms of safety and efficacy. Ultimately these hallmarks translate to an increase in treatment comfort and a minimal downtime. We love to hear from you, for additional questions, feel free to text us at (940) 600-7826.
